# Great Revolt against Henry II (1173)

Henry's sons and several powerful nobles rebelled with support from France and Scotland. Within the broader Norman & Angevin Britain period, Norman conquest, cross-Channel lordship and royal reform created a new aristocracy and a more centralized monarchy.
